Reading spend, CTR and CPA on one axis

Five dashboards with five definitions is not measurement. Pulling every network onto one set of numbers is what makes channels comparable.

Running a campaign across several networks means every network hands back its own numbers, in its own dashboard, under its own definitions. Comparing them usually turns into a spreadsheet and a hope that a click means the same thing in both places.

markXpand pulls spend, impressions, reach, clicks, conversions, CTR and CPA back from each network and puts them on one axis. The point is not to have a chart — it is that you end up comparing channels rather than reading five dashboards and reconciling them by eye.

The numbers also come with a recommendation attached. The chart says what happened; the suggestions are written against your own figures — this channel's CPA, this creative's CTR, this week against last — rather than against a benchmark from an account that is not yours.

What competitor research should actually tell you

A category report you could have written yourself is not research. The useful version names the rivals you have, the campaigns they are running now, and the gap they left open.
